If you answered yes to any of these questions, then you should join us for the 2023 Leadership Conference, hosted by the National Centre for Cross-Disciplinary Social Work (NCCDSW) at Bournemouth University.
The 2023 Leadership Conference will take place on Wednesday, 15 December 2023, from 9.30 am to 1.30 pm via Zoom. The theme of the conference is “Times of Change: Leadership Discussion for Health and Social Care”. The conference will feature keynote speeches, presentations, and a panel discussion from experts and practitioners in the field of health and social care leadership, including:
- Prof Mel Hughes, Director of NCCDSW and Professor of Education and Practice
- Dr Colin MacPherson, retired Royal Air Force officer and researcher in organisational culture and talent management
- Tilia Lenz, Senior Lecturer for Social Work and CPD Framework Lead for Social Sciences
- Dr Lyle Skains, award-winning researcher and creative practitioner in Creative Digital Writing and Science Communication
- Dr Rejoice Chipuriro, Post-Doctoral Researcher at the Department of Social Work and Social Sciences
- Ithiel Korkor Zotorvie, Practice Educator for International Nurses at Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust
- Dr Orlanda Harvey, Senior Lecturer in Social Work and researcher in image and performance enhancing substance use
- Sarah Green, resource management and scheduling expert in HEIs
- Dr Rachel Arnold, Visiting Fellow in the Centre for Midwifery and Women’s Health and former nurse/midwife in international crisis situations
- Dr Matthew Simpson, Programme Lead for the Post-Graduate Diploma in Advanced Mental Health Practice and researcher in AMHP practice
- Julia Armstrong, Lecturer in Social Work and researcher in green social work and anti-racism
- Paul Walshe, Organisational Development practitioner and coach
- Professor David Croisdale-Appleby, chair of several organisations in the public and charity sectors and author of the Croisdale-Appleby Report on social work education.
You will have the opportunity to learn from their insights and experiences, network with other professionals, and engage in lively and constructive discussions on the topics of leadership, change, resilience, and culture.
The conference is open to all health and social care professionals, leaders, and commissioners who are interested in developing their leadership skills and knowledge. The conference is free of charge, but registration is required by 14 December 2023.
