At BU we are proud to teach CPD students from diverse backgrounds: be it practice, culture or learning experiences. As lecturers we are aware that each student comes with different academic support needs, some have just finished a degree whilst others have not been ‘to Uni’ for years.
Over the past three years we have developed our digital pedagogy framework to meet the needs of busy practitioners to gain academic accreditation for their learning. Now we also offer regular Critical Thinking Workshops at BU to welcome students in our Bournemouth Gateway Building. The aim is to create a community of learners from across the CPD framework and offer a space to engage with creative and critical thinking and writing skills.
We are inviting our Health and Social Sciences CPD students to join us for our next workshop. We will explore issues of academic writing, critical analysis of texts and sources and offer practical, hands-on support for assignment writing. The library and support staff will be available. Students can arrange face to face tutorials with the unit leads if they wish to (please contact your lecturer by email to seek out their availability).
