Katie Kenny is a fully qualified social worker and practice educator in Solihull. She has been qualified since 2004 and has always worked within Children and Families in Solihull. Katie has held various roles in different teams, specializing in direct work to support positive changes using the Signs of Safety approach.
During her time in frontline practice, she had 4 students and loved supporting them with their learning and development. In 2019, Katie moved across into Workforce Development and became the lead in delivering and supporting all things Practice Education. This involved working with Bournemouth University to deliver their Practice Education award. Additionally, she delivers training on Chronologies, Child and Family Assessments, and Outcome Focused Plans.
Katie is committed to ensuring that social workers involved in Practice Education are well supported and valued. She aims to develop highly skilled Practice Educators who can provide social work students with a valuable learning experience.
