Dr Pooja Shah
Pooja Shah is a Science Manager in the Population Health Sciences team at the Medical Research Council (MRC), supporting the strategic development and delivery of UK population health research programmes across prevention research, population research infrastructure, and longitudinal studies. She is also a Visiting Fellow at Bournemouth University.
Prior to joining the MRC, she was a Postdoctoral Researcher at Bournemouth University on the TANGERINE project, where she delivered co-produced research exploring nutrition and healthy ageing among older adults from ethnic minority communities.
She completed her PhD in Public Health and Policy at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine in 2025, and holds an MSc in Mental Health Studies from King’s College London and a BSc in Medical Sciences from the University of Exeter. Her research focuses on addressing health inequalities through interdisciplinary approaches, stakeholder engagement, and translating evidence into policy and practice.
